Meet our Founder

William “Jim” Deckard

Born and raised in Indiana, Jim experienced firsthand how critical high-quality home healthcare can be. When a grandparent required in-home care, Jim saw the profound difference between compassionate, skilled support that truly meets a patient’s needs and inadequate care that can unintentionally cause harm.

That experience became a turning point. Motivated by what he witnessed, Jim committed himself to raising the standard of in-home care. This commitment ultimately led to the creation of Elite Personal Care, built on the belief that patients deserve safe, reliable, and personalized care that supports their health, dignity, and independence—right in the comfort of their own home.

Misty Bemis

Branch Supervisor

Misty Bemis joined Elite Personal Care in 2024 and serves as the Branch Supervisor for
Terre Haute and brings more than 20 years of experience working with the developmentally
disabled population.

Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to
advocacy, compassionate care, and improving the quality of life for individuals with
disabilities. Misty began her career in 2002 as a Direct Support Professional and quickly
advanced into leadership roles, including House Manager for a local group home and
Program Coordinator, where she served for six years before joining Elite Personal Care.

Nicole Gehl

Business Office Manager

Nicole Gehl serves as the Business Office Manager for Elite Personal Care. Her journey with the company began as a caregiver, providing direct support to clients in their homes. Through her dedication and commitment to quality care, she advanced to Client Care Coordinator and now oversees business office operations.

Nicole earned her Degree in Business from Indiana Wesleyan University and combines her caregiving experience with strong leadership and administrative skills. She is passionate about serving clients, supporting caregivers, and ensuring high-quality, compassionate care.

Her firsthand experience in both direct care and leadership gives her a unique understanding of the needs of clients, families, and staff, helping her make a meaningful impact every day.

Whitney Evans

Payroll Specialist

Whitney joined Elite Personal Care in 2025 as an Executive Assistant. Since then, she has expanded her role within the company, earning her CPR Instructor certification and teaching CPR classes at Elite’s Bedford office. As her responsibilities continued to grow, she took on additional leadership and administrative duties, including transitioning into the Payroll Specialist role in April 2026. Whitney enjoys supporting both the team and clients while continuing to learn, grow, and contribute to Elite’s success. She looks forward to what the future holds with the Elite family.

Sheridan Robbins

Administrative Assistant/Scheduler

I joined Elite Personal Care in May 2025 as the Scheduler, where I enjoy supporting both our clients and caregivers every day. I am also a certified CPR Instructor, allowing me to help promote safety and education within our team.

I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from the University of Pikeville. My passion for healthcare and helping others motivates me to be a supportive coworker and a dependable resource for those around me.

One of the most rewarding parts of my role is watching Elite Personal Care continue to grow and achieve new successes. I take pride in being part of a team that is dedicated to providing quality care, and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for both the company and my career at Elite.
